Common questions from procurement.

Are you on the QITC panel?

Refine IT engages directly with QLD Government agencies and via prime panel members. Happy to be sub-contracted under your existing prime, or to engage directly under SOA / direct-engagement provisions.

We're a small business — is your practice the right fit?

Yes. The same senior practitioners who lead government cloud programs work on SMB engagements at a fixed-fee starting point — no enterprise overhead, no jargon. Typical SMB scopes: Microsoft 365 done properly, security baseline, cyber-insurance readiness, file-server cleanup, backup & DR. Often complete in 2–4 weeks.

What's the typical engagement length?

From a 5-day options paper, to a 2–4 week SMB cloud rollout, through to multi-year infrastructure-lead engagements with government. Most discrete migration engagements run 4–12 weeks; ongoing infrastructure-lead engagements typically renew quarterly.

Can you work in cleared environments?

The practice lead holds Australian Government Baseline clearance. Higher clearances are obtained for specific engagements where the role and term justify it; sub-contractors are vetted and named on each engagement.

Do you sub-contract or use offshore staff?

Refine IT operates a principal-led model with a vetted network of Australian-based specialist sub-contractors, introduced under your approval. No offshore delivery, ever.

Do SMB engagements get the same standard?

Same standard, smaller scope. SMB engagements run on fixed-fee scopes against written acceptance criteria — the same model used on enterprise programs, just sized to your business. You get a senior practitioner on the work, plain-language documentation, and a roadmap your accountant won't object to.
